Mission 1: To provide high-quality education and training that develops anesthesia professionals with strong knowledge, clinical skills, positive attitudes, and critical thinking abilities in alignment with their professional scope of practice.
Mission 2: To prepare anesthesia professionals who can deliver the full scope of safe and effective anesthesia services that meet the healthcare needs of the community.

Objectives of the Department of Anesthesia
Goal of the program
To train competent, ethical, and skilled anesthesia professionals who can provide safe and effective anesthesia care, contribute to healthcare services, and support the advancement of anesthesia practice.
Program Educational Objectives
PEO 1. To equip anesthesia students with strong foundations in biomedical sciences, clinical practice, and public health, enabling them to provide individualized, evidence-based anesthesia care across all levels of healthcare settings, including emergency and critical care.
PEO 2. To prepare students to assess, optimize, and manage patients with co-morbidities and multiple co-existing diseases, using appropriate scientific knowledge and individualized anesthesia management plans.
PEO 3. To train students in professional communication, leadership, and management skills, fostering ethical, responsible, and collaborative practice with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
PEO 4. To develop students’ capacity to conduct, utilize, and apply relevant research findings in anesthesia practice, while preparing them for advanced postgraduate studies and continuous professional development.
PEO 5. To enhance students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, ensuring reflective, safe, and effective practice in diverse clinical and critical care environments.
