A two-day training program focused on the “Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medicine and Scientific Research”

The training officially opened with remarks from Dr. Asefa Negeri, Director of the School of Medicine. Followed by an address from Dr. Mesert Belte, Chief Executive Director of the Institute of Health Sciences delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the significance of AI, government digitalization initiatives and the training objectives.

The sessions are being delivered by Mr. Bodena Terfa, who introduced AI in scientific research by discussing core concepts, global trends, and challenges in the field, and Dr. Etana Fikadu, who presented on machine learning concepts and introduced AI tools for research, literature review, and academic writing.

This training is a significant step toward integrating AI into health research practices.
